Wendy has been business manager of the practice since opening in 2008. Wendy's career choice has changed multiple times over her young life. First beginning with a career in Hairdressing spanning over 25 years, she completed her diploma and receiving many awards. Wendy also has a Graduate Certificate in Management, a Diploma in Practice Management, a Diploma of Remedial Massage therapy and is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science at the University of Tasmania. She finds her role challenging but rewarding. Wendy has three adult children, enjoys yoga, her friendships and relaxing on the couch.
Sue Davis is the Nurse/Midwife here at TasGynae. Sue's initial training as a Registered Nurse and Midwife was hospital based in South Australia almost 30 years ago. She has completed a Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Diploma in Social Science and a Masters Degree in Public Health. In 2012, Sue travelled throughout Africa participating in solar energy initiatives to support safe childbirth in African communities. She also has been involved in projects promoting female rights to receive an education in developing countries. Sue and her husband moved to Tasmania in 2010 after a nomadic existence including owning and managing a vineyard and raising a daughter whilst living in a residential college. Two dogs and 3 birds now complete Sue's family.
Jo has worked with our practice for 8 years and started her administration work within the casino industry, starting off in the Front Office. Always enjoying the person to person contact, she has learned a variety of new roles since joining the team at TasGynae. Jo is mother to 2 grown up children and grandmother of 3. She enjoys spending time with friends, walking, running, cooking and relaxing at home. Her dream's for the future are to own a massive property and take in every homeless dog she can find as well as one day hiking the pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago in and across France and Spain.
Jayde is the youngest of our team here at TasGynae. Jayde completed her Certificate of Education in 2014 and from there underwent her managment course at Mcdonald's. She also completed her Certificate 2 & 3 in Retail. Jayde is currently studying at UTAS to complete her Bachelor of Education. Jayde recently spent 6 weeks travelling Europe solo and describes this experience to be the best thing she has ever done. Jayde is a self-confessed lover of cats and especially enjoys the company of her own cat, Nahla. She also enjoys walking and spending time with her friends.
Michelle is a Court Transcriptor and is responsible for all the correspondence letters sent out to the doctors that refer patients to us.
