Patients should be aware that it is their responsibility to ensure they have a valid referral prior to being seen at TasGynae. GP referrals last 12 months and a Specialist's referral lasts 3 months

New Referrals

New gynaecology patients require a faxed referral from your GP prior to an appointment. being scheduled. The referrals are reviewed by our doctors and prioritised according to urgency. You will be contacted by our staff to discuss an appointment time.

First antenatal appointment will need a faxed referral either from your GP or Tas IVF . Please ensure your referral reaches us before you are 8-10 weeks pregnant if possible.

If you are from the North West coast of Tasmania, and wish to be seen at the Ulverstone clinic, please let our staff know. Appointments with our doctors at Ulverstone are on Fridays.

Other information

We will require you to complete a questionnaire about you general medical and surgical background that will help with your initial consultation. It also contains details of how to find us. Please bring your Medicare, D.V.A and Private Health fund cards with you.

Practice Hours

Monday to Thursday 9 am to 5 pm.

We are closed on Fridays and weekends.

Christmas Break: we are closed from 23rd December and will re open on 23rd January 2017. Please email us if you have any non-urgent concerns.
